Shaun Lees is a dedicated realtor who has provided over 25 years of quality real estate service in Victoria and before that Vancouver, British Columbia. Prior to his training as a salesperson and agent in Real Estate, Shaun's career was that of a high school teacher. He graduated from university with a Bachelor of Education, Honors, and a double major in physical education and cultural geography. Shaun's passion for teaching has not diminished through all his years in Real Estate. His skills and success in coaching students in gymnastics and inspiring others through multi-faceted teaching methods to embrace and understand the many exciting cultures of the world, have served him well. He naturally and confidently coaches first-time buyers through the maze of home ownership technicalities and helps them realize their dreams in the home that is absolutely the right place at the right time for them.

After many years of planning and renovating his own residences to accomodate his family at various developmental stages, Shaun has also become intimately familiar with building requirments (from wiring and plumbing to the roof and drainage) that are necessary to ensure the solid foundation that homeowners are seeking. His knowledge and advice in these areas has ensured that many future homeowners have not been lured into purchasing the wrong home after "falling in love" with superficial characteristics alone. Aside from this type of guidance, Shaun believes that his expertise is not required to "sell" property. The right house or the right building will sell itself. Shaun's job is to first listen (Helping Relationships course a prerequisite) and understand what people are seeking. He then does his best to match these needs (hopes, dreams) with the right property. Each individual or family will define the areas of expertise that Shaun utilizes from the time he meets them through the financing and final details of making the decision of a lifetime.

Shaun is intimately familiar with Victoria, having attended high school and University here. After spending a year teaching in Australia, another year travelling the world and several years in Vancouver, he realized there was no place on earth that he would rather raise his family. He married Susan in 1976, Aaron was born in 1978, and the family moved to Victoria in 1979 before Kalen's birth in 1980. Victoria has offered a lifestyle that provides the perfect balance between family, work and play. Winter vacations involve family ski trips and summer is a mix of running with friends and Shasa (the Border Collie), sailing, golf and motorcycling. With the advent of the cell phone and a home office, Shaun is able to mix work in and respond almost immediately, whether it is a week-day, evening or week-end.

Over the years Shaun has won many accolades and awards (gold, silver, bronze) as a realtor. There are none that are more important to him than the trusting and loyal relationships and friendships that have been formed over many cups of tea and hours spent sharing in the process of determining the best place to live or the right investment to make at the various stages of peoples lives. We are so fortunate to have the gifts that Victoria offers to choose from, as beauty and heritage are inherent aspects of our city.
